On her facebook page, he said she created a ne page but when I searched, it wasn't there. But think about it, 2-5 years and supposedly these college kids will be financially free and walking the beaches of the world working 10-15 hours a week?

If that doesn't sound too good to be true, I don't know what does.Joecoolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09121920263105613498noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8494309285043063074.post-84543657925675630472016-06-15T10:11:19.250-07:002016-06-15T10:11:19.250-07:00I think it's pretty clear that Amway can look ...I think it's pretty clear that Amway can look an sound good on paper, but that falls apart once you try to sell overpriced generic products for premium prices, or try to sell someone on joining a company whose reputation is less than clean.Joecoolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09121920263105613498noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8494309285043063074.post-37834679683850604232016-06-15T08:48:03.876-07:002016-06-15T08:48:03.876-07:00This woman is totally brainwashed by Amway.
A sur...This woman is totally brainwashed by Amway.

A sure sign of being brainwashed is the use of canned and rote-memorized propaganda lines.

In the case of this lady, it seems (from her letter-perfect command of Amspeak) that her brain wasn't just washed. It was dry-cleaned and steam-pressed.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8494309285043063074.post-89835034715333500742016-06-15T07:49:20.645-07:002016-06-15T07:49:20.645-07:004. Follow your dreams! Whoopie!!! I'm 5 years...4. Follow your dreams! Whoopie!!! I'm 5 years old again with no responsibility for myself! This is by far the stupidest line out of all the Amway canned crap, but is also one of the most powerful when not put into context. One of the things that really bugs me about celebrities is their famous stories of how they came up with nothing, fought tooth and nail for their dreams, and achieved. That is a wonderful story, but that is not typical either (in fact it is so rare that we keep hearing the same story over and over again and it still sounds great!), but we only hear about those stories and not the ones where the hundreds if not thousands failed. Amway is no different...in fact in ways it is even more ostentatious. They are suggesting you can get there and skip over the tooth and nail portion by only working 10-15 hours a week. I know it sounds terrible to say don't follow your dreams, and I am all for getting to that personal nirvana, but the journey is extremely important. You need a focus and mission in order to achieve that dream, and just talking about it will get you nowhere. In the first Harry Potter (I know terrible reference, but this is actually useful), Harry finds a mirror that shows people their deepest desires. He goes to the mirror every night because it is giving him a sense of completeness he did not previously have, until one night Dumbledore comes and says his famous line "It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live." WOW...I think Amway just got served by Harry Potter...It is time for people to take responsibility for their needs and earn their goals!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09218448308057670565noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8494309285043063074.post-50543837200357671162016-06-15T07:49:18.234-07:002016-06-15T07:49:18.234-07:00Oi Vey...I think the most depressing part of this ...Oi Vey...I think the most depressing part of this post is the fact that she mentioned going to college, and she is completely illiterate. I'm no wonderful writer, but that was ridiculous. I have set new rules for myself when it comes to investing or trying to get into a new business, and the first rule is to associate myself with competent people.

She definitely hit all of the trademark MLM nonsense...make up your own hours, work from home, have unlimited potential income, and follow your dreams.

Let's break this down, and please let me know when I dispute these points if I have gone off the deep end.

1. Set your own hours! Wow, that sounds fantastic in theory! However, as most people fail in Amway can attest to, people are lazy! You never stop hearing how lazy the quitters, the failures, the losers are...did you ever stop to think, you told them to be lazy? Only work 10-15 hours a week and earn THOUSANDS in extra income!!! Uh...no, as one of my favorite Geico commercials goes, "That's not how this works, that's not how any of this works." (Referencing an incorrect understanding of social media) Is it really so bad to have structure in your life, and to eliminate the possibility of variance in paycheck to paycheck? It would seem nice to know exactly what I'm getting, that way I can BUDGET, and leave money for my future...I'll take that any day over being able to stay at home and watch Oprah.

2. Work from home! Again, sounds great in theory, but is it really? We are in a new age of technology, and people are more fearful and isolated than ever before! The worst thing you can do is shut yourself out of the world on a day to day business and let these news stories proliferate your being (again personal opinion). Also, is it really healthy to want to belong to a community, and not leave your house to participate in it? One of the best perks of going to a J.O.B. is being involved in a community with a common goal! You have comrades working with you to earn money and build the business to be stronger, or at least maintain so you can continue to make money! I don't see staying at home as an advantage in any facet, even with kids, and ultimately will drive you crazy!

3. Have unlimited potential income! TERRIFIC! I love the idea of not having a plateau in my job...wait, I'm in sales, there is unlimited potential income in my job too! In fact, most jobs have this "unlimited potential income!" and it is based on your efforts and merits. Let's take this a step back...unlimited potential income, but there is no base income...WOW RISKY! Most people can't handle that type of pressure, and/or have never been in that type of situation, where if they don't get a sale, they don't eat! It's nice to think of the positive side of unlimited, but it is not so nice how they leave out the negative to give this perspective! If I told you, let's hang out for a week and I'll give you a $10,000 dollars you would be ecstatic! If I left out the part that during that week you would be subject to, ridicule, arduous tasks, and illegal activities, AND failure to complete these would result in a forfeiture of the $10,000...you might be a little upset! You should treat this no differently! The opportunity for unlimited potential income with Amway makes you do all of those things, AND, it takes much longer than a week to get to $10,000!

Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09218448308057670565noreply@blogger.com
