The recruiters have already lied to trick people into attending the meeting, so the speaker will have to follow suit and lie as well.

When you are at an Amway meeting, it is very similar to being in church. There is an air of deep reverence, and the speaker is like a preacher in a pulpit. He won't talk in a straightforward rational manner, but will use emotional hype to alternately frighten and encourage his listeners. He will make you quake with the fear of being poor; and he will exalt your spirit with images of the "Diamond" lifestyle. Amway alone will save you!

His version of "Hell" will be the world of an ordinary job, with its allegedly dead-end nature. His version of "Heaven" will be the stupid MLM-scheme that Amway offers as the only possible salvation. The "damned" will be those who turn down Amway's offer of salvation, and the "saved" will be those lucky few who sign up as IBOs and commit themselves to Amway heart and soul.

Twenty years ago, the Amway assholes were telling us that MLM buying and selling was "the wave of the future," and that brick-and-mortar stores were soon to be obsolete. What bullshit. It didn't happen at all. And the fools who joined Amway twenty years ago are now broke losers.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
