Just look at the explosion of Amway business in Asia as an example, people are joining simply to get access to products that they otherwise would not have access to because their country does not have near the variety of retail options available to us in North America. Though they will never ever disclose the number, one wonders exactly what percentage of Amway's sales are generated through IBOs. Without the new emerging markets and all the new IBOs/customers Amway would not survive, they are simply not price or service competitive with all the choices consumers have.
