If you convince a household to buy USD 300 from Amway, that would require a 100 recurring customers, one every 90 minutes if you work 8 hours per day if you take no leave.<br /><br />That is when the base is established. And even then a very average income.<br /><br />Someone with the talent of pulling that off can make a killing selling computer software, cars, boats, houses where the amount of customers required to make a living is a lot less.
