Many IBOs and Amway supporters adhere to the idea that their system works. As far as I know, there is zero unbiased evidence that the system works. The system generally consists of a website, voicemail, standing orders and seminars or functions, as well as meetings to show the plan, etc. While Amway supporters will claim that nearly everyone who succeeds is on the system, they won't mention how everyone who succeeds also has hundreds if not thousands of downlines who do not succeed, even with earnest effort in building the business using the stsem.
Edward O. Thorpe was a math professor at M.I.T. who studied and wrote a theory on Blackjack, and found that it was mathematically possible for a blackjack player to have an edge over the house in a game of blackjack. Casinos scoffed at the theory and said it was just that. A theory with no real life application. Well, Mr. Thorpe started playing small and found that his theory was correct. He was counting cards in blackjack and making consistent money. His book eventually became a best seller. The casinos were ticked off and started kicking out people who were obviously winning and counting cards. Counting cards is not illegal but casinos can refuse to allow a player on their premises. But what casinos did not notice right away, was that their profits were skyrocketing because so many people knew the theory but could not or were not capable of executing the card counting system.
But hey, the system works so everyone should count cards for a living right? Afterall, it is proven by math that the cards will eventually favor a player and in the long run, you can make huge profits from playing blackjack. Of course not, it is ridiculous for people to think that card counting is a good way to make a buck. Not everyone has the bankroll, the skill, and the patience to succeed in card counting. Most people are better off not even trying this.
In my informed opinion, this card counting system is just like WWDB, BWW, LTD, N21 or other Amway systems. For one thing, card counting is a proven system. The Amway systems are not. But it can be viewed as similar in that very few people can use the system and make it work. Even when hundreds of thousands may try it, very few will succeed in both Amway and card counting. In both "systems", those who do not succeed can lose thousands of dollars. In both systems, doing things right can still result in losses.
In both systems, it is "possible" to succeed, but it is highly unlikely. The vast majority of people simply do not possess the knowledge, skills and abilities to make the systems work for them. You also need some money, some patience, and some luck in order to be a long term success. This article is not about comparing the Amway systems to gambling, it is about a person's ability to make the system work. The difference is that nobody promotes card counting as a good way to make a buck. The same holds true about Amway and their systems. It is not a good system to make money.
Dude, learn to write in proper English first before anyone takes you seriously. I understand that one needs some money, good patience and to apply the system to succeed. Why didn't you? Is it because of luck? You believe in luck. Well, I don't believe in luck, superstitious people do. I believe in results through trials. You quit too soon because you had the wrong attitude. Stop using your attitude as an excuse to justify why it doesn't work. Get your ass in trials and then we talk success. I'm not interested to associate with failure minded people.
ReplyDeleteDud if you are in Amway, you are associating with positive minded people who are failing.
ReplyDeleteThe system doesn't work. Simple as that. You cannot simply choose to succeed in business.
You cannot simply choose to succeed in business... then you have to choose to fail, that's the only choice that's left. You're such a loser. Losers never succeed at any life venture, they only quit and moan about it. Keep it up buddy, you're doing a great job!
ReplyDeleteYou cannot choose to win the lottery either.
ReplyDeleteSure, a good attitude is great to have, but Amway has so much baggage and such a bad reputation in the US that even a lot of work and effort doesn't mean you will succeed, good attitude or not.
Bud, why do you compare lottery with venture? In a venture you devise a plan and walk the steps at all costs. Then results will start to show up. Results don't show up overnight. Success is guaranteed with a lot of effort but it has to be the right effort. Why do you come up with bullshit comparisons and excuses?
ReplyDeleteShow me where I compared this venture to a lottery in this post. The problem with the Amway opportunity is that it is full of false promises. Hard workd and effort often does not result in any success.
ReplyDeleteI write these articles so information seekers can find the truth.
What is this bull about 'attitude'? You can have a great attitude and still get fired or not succeed. Attitude has nothing to do with brains, obviously, or business acumen, or even basic money managing skills.
ReplyDeleteSuccess ISN'T guaranteed in ANY venture, regardless of your 'attitude'. All that exists at Amway groups is a 'blame the victim' culture. It's the IBO's fault because he or she didn't work hard enough, it's the IBO's fault because his/her attitude wasn't positive, it's the IBO's fault for not buying enough tools.
What crap. IBO's fail because the system is rigged against them and no one teaches them actual business skills, like budgetting, marketing, sales techniques, or even how to network. In fact, their 'network' only consists of other bottom rung IBO's.
The 'losers' here are people who bought the Amway scam hook, line, and sinker. The losers here are the people who can't see the truth, which is that Amway works for only about 2% of the distributors.
You keep buying those Amway products, bub, and I'll keep living in my nice house, staying current on my bills, and putting money away in my retirement account. Oh and enjoying my life.
You want me to show you where you compared this venture to lottery? You REALLY want me to? Well, it's your last post for October 26 at 5:06 PM.
ReplyDeleteThe last anonymous poster has an attitude problem too it seems. Attitude has a lot to do with outcome. First impressions backed by the right attitude make way for new opportunities, they open new doors. Blind people can't see it or understand it. Success is guaranteed by attitude as much as failure is. There are circumstances in life where you can do nothing about except Jesus Christ who is my personal Lord, Saviour and Redeemer. So I guess that the 2% who make it do so because they got their attitude right and know something that the other 98% treat as casual. I'll tell you what, I'll keep on buying those Amway products, I'll keep on selling those Amway products, I'll keep living in nice homes, staying current not only on my bills but on the latest desires of my heart and not putting money away in my 70 years old retirement account. Oh and enjoying my life together with my wife, children, family and friends. Wishing you a happy 70 anniversary!

As I thought, you are wrong once again. I did not compare Amway to a lottery in this post. You are grasping at straws trying to defend your failing business. You wish 2% made it in Amway. It is less than 1%.
ReplyDeleteSuccess is not guaranteed no matter how good your attitude is. It's too bad Amway leaders feel the need to lead their downline to financial doom.
LOL! I wish 2% made it in Amway? I WISH? Actually, my dearest Joe, it was the anonymous guy talking about his retirement account savings who said that 2% make in in Amway! It seems that even if he's on the same page as you're, you're both wrong. He claims 2%, you claim 1% and now you bid for even lower. Next, it will be his turn but he will have a very hard time to admit that he did go for the 2%! Man, aren't you guys funny when two blind men fall into the same pit by guiding each other?
ReplyDeleteKeep on justifying and twsiting your stories. The fact is that far more people lose money instead of making it in Amway. Period. IBO's will have a longer than 40/40 plan because they'll need to make up the money they lost in Amway. LOL.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous coward from Canada using Rogers Cable, why don't you prove you are successful?
Why do you care so much about my success? Will my success automatically make you successful? No, it won't and truth is that if I were to teach you how to become, you're not looking forward to it, you already made up your mind that this business doesn't work and that's about it. No amount of convincing will change your mind. I saw people who tried to reason with you to no avail. You're set for life. 40/40 plan? That's for people like you who work hard, get laid off, save into retirement funds and then lose what they saved and basically, they'll have to somehow stay longer than 40/40 to make up for that lost money unless their children can support them so that they can comfortably stay home and not work any longer.
ReplyDeleteI bet if you were successful in Amway, you would be eager to show me up. But you've probably been in for a year, maybe sponsored 1 or 2 downline. You probaby get a monthly bonus of $40 but your standing order and voicemail eats that up. You are still hoping that the business will suddenly turn for the better, but most likely it will not.
ReplyDeleteWho said I work hard only to be laid off? Who said I have to woirk 40 years? I have invested well and took full advantage of the stock market crash last year. I do not have the income of a double diamond but I make a nice living and will retire comfortably with my house paid off.
What is wrong with that?
If you live comfortably where you're today then that's awesome. What's not so awesome is that you assume too much negative, misinterpret reasons and initiatives and ultimately deceive yourself into believing your own delusions.
ReplyDeleteYou forget that I was an IBO. I saw first hand, the abuse dished out by the upline leaders. These same leaders are still around today. Some crossline, following strict orders from upline, lost their homes, ended up bankrupt and had their lives financially damaged.
ReplyDeleteYes, they could have said no. But they were explicitly taught that not following uplin advice would lead to failure so they did as they were told.
These same leaders who were so smart and uprght are now in bankruptcy and getting divorces. I guess you truly do reap what you sow.
I equally guess that you do reap what you sow. Let that be the last line of our conversation. You already made up your mind and that's it. This conversation can't change that so it's ending here. Good day!
ReplyDeleteGood day. I'm glad you finally saw the light.
