Recruiting?

One of the most important elements of being an Amway IBO if you have dreams of going diamond , is to recruit anyone and everyone into your Amway business.  It’s because without down line you just can’t generate enough volume to make the higher bonuses, plus the level of diamond requires that you develop at least 6 groups that are a platinum or higher.  There are other requirements but I’m speaking in general.

In reality a new IBO would very likely be better served learning how the business actually works, selling some products and trying to scratch out a net profit   I believe this wouldn’t be easy but it would be possible.   But because upline is selling hope and dreams, mainly hopes and dreams that can only happen by rabid recruiting, that’s where the focus is

And recruiting isn’t easy because Amway has a reputation among the general public and a lot of it isn’t so good.  The behaviors of previous IBOs are still around which includes lying or tricking people into attending meetings, or deception, the horror stories are still out there.  My blog contains my own personal experience and sone testimony from others who walked down the Amway path.  That path is littered with the figurative dead bodies of those who tried.

A long time ago, Amway escaped charges of being an illegal scheme because they did not compensate people for recruiting and because actual products are a part of the business.   Now I’m speaking in very general terms so there’s more to it but let’s face it, if there is no compensation for recruiting, why is it seemingly the focus of so many newbies and recruits?

Most new IBOs don’t know much but they know that you aren’t going anywhere without a sizable group of down line  you certainly aren’t going diamond without down line.  But sadly going diamond is about as likely as winning a significant prize is a lottery.  Except that a lottery doesn’t take any work save for buying a ticket.   Good luck if you’ve read this and decide to sign up and recruit your own downline

Recruitment of new IBOs is essential for any profit in Amway, but it has to be recruitment of PEOPLE WHO WILL BUY A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF PRODUCTS MONTHLY. You have to keep them buying, even if they are unable to sell products at retail to non-Amway customers. With tremendous effort you might recruit ten people in a year. But even Amway's statistics show that probably seven of them will drop out after a few months, and the rest later on. Therefore this maniacal recruitment must go on and on, forever.

"Self-consumption" of Amway products by IBOs is an idea born out of desperation -- the desperation of up-line to maintain their down-line IBOs when these IBOs can't retail sufficient products to make their PV levels. But who the hell wants to fill his garage up with stuff that he can't possibly consume in a month? After a few months of this insanity, sensible IBOs drop out of the business.

The really outrageous crime of Amway is allowing the various AMO subsystems to create a useless but highly profitable market for "tools" and "functions." The purpose of these is to bleed as much extra money out of down-line IBOs for as long as they are stupid enough to remain in the Amway racket.

Joe Cool needs to see this video... and so does his audience.

To further debate the legitimacy of this industry check out this video.

Joe Cool - I think you should reach out to Tim Sales and have a debate to prove that your correct. You have been informing people of your knowledge on a failing industry for many years. Prove Tim wrong so I can convince my neighbor William and his wife Claire to avoid Usana Life Sciences like the plague.

He shared the above videos to convince me otherwise.

OMG. That guy reminds me of a sleazy, TV evangelist.

Just tell your neighbors to look up USANA Life Sciences on Wikipedia. There is enough disturbing information there to damn the thing as a typical MLM pyramid scheme.

If they refuse to look, that means they are already hopelessly lost, and no debate between Joe Cool and Tim Sales will help them. If the do look, and still want to join, then they are hopeless idiots.

Jeffrey: I guess you should see this video:

I watched the one from Tim. It screams scam for whole video. I mean your biggest effort in direct selling should be to sell, right? But biggest effort Tim tries to achieve is to overcome prospect objections. Why everybody in MLM is endlessly recruiting and not selling? I mean if Tim does direct sales, then seeing him selling his overpriced products in some stand by the mall, that is perfectly legit and what I would expect. But he is not selling, his only effort is to recruit more and more people, as many as possible. And this need for new recruits never stops. So is he selling anything? Or rather his recruits are doing their monthly orders?

Also, he was appointed number one representative for company Ariix, so his agreement, believe me, must be completely different to what you would sign with the company and most of his income is anyway from speeches, videos and seminars, as it is usual for high pins. This is not level playing field at all.

I saw this with many so called MLM leaders. They achieve something in established company, but then they realize, they would like to be up high there, but there is no room for them, it is filled already, so they move to some new opportunity, where they can be at the beginning = at the top. I saw this many many times. So do not be stupid, be like Tim. Be the first rep of some company in some area or state and let others to pay your commisions, still better than to be somewhere at the bottom and hand over your money to Tim.... :-)

Here in comments section is some very interesting info on Tim:

All MLM schemes are about endless recruiting, and nothing else. The naive persons who enter the business with the intention of actually making retail sales to customers are merely sheep who will be bilked of their investments.

Just read up on the LuLaRoe fraud. Tim Sales and his Usana Life Sciences are the exact same bullshit. And Amway is the biggest bullshit load of them all.
