Never Quit" was one of the things I often heard when I was an IBO. To quit seemed like the kiss of death as an IBO. I believe that the never quit mantra can be useful if the saying was meant to read as never quit trying, or never quit trying to better yourself. But in the Amway business, when uplines talk about never quit, what they mean is never quit doing 100 PV and never quit buying tools. Sometimes a wise business decision is to quit and do something else.
I find it ironic that so many IBOs think of the diamonds on stage as being mentors to them. In fact, these diamonds don't know most of their faithful downline IBOs. They don't know their personal circumstances or whether they are progressing in building their business, thus a blanket "never quit" statement is insincere at best. It seems that the never quit saying is a self serving thought, especially since the upline diamond benefits financially by an IBO staying on board with the Amway and the tools program.
When you stop and think for a moment, your upline benefits financially from almost every aspect of the business. You move 100 PV and you get 3% while somewhere upline, about 28 - 30% bonus gets shared by your sponsor and further uplines. Your voicemail account is profit for upline. Your website profits upline, standing order, book of the month and functions all pour money into your upline's pockets. In fact, it seems that IBOs pay through their teeth for almost every bit of information they receive, regardless of any success in Amway.
If your upline truly had vital information that would make your business grow, why would they want to withhold that information from downline? Maybe your uplines don't truly want your success? Maybe they only want your money? Is that why the "never quit" battle cry is made? Does your upline diamond take the time to get to know as many IBOs as possible on a personal level? Do they know your individual circumstances? Do they truly care about your success? If they did care, how could they stand on a stage and shout "never quit"?
Ironically, many - a - diamond did not take their own advice. Many a diamond has quit in recent years. Makes you wonder why someone would quit after achieving diamond? Makes you wonder why someone would quit when you can "walk the beaches" and continue to collect an income. Maybe this opportunity is not all that you have been led to believe?

You know, that "walk the beaches" line is repeated so often in Amway propaganda, and has stayed the same for so many years now, that I have come to this inevitable conclusion: the erogenous zones of Ambots are located on the soles of their feet, and are activated by the touch of sand. What else could explain this fixation on earning enough money to do nothing but walk on beaches for the rest of your life?
It would be nice to know how much time David Steadman and Bridgett spend walking on beach sand. The answer might explain a lot.
They need to promote beaches because the reality wouldn't sell so well. Steadson and Bridgett? The nearest they get to the beaches is being called bitches. LOL
Never quit because once you quit, you stop the flow of income to your upline, something they can't control...
They withhold that information because once they give that information to you, you might be able to outrank them and that is what they your upline is afraid of.
Right, they teach never quit because their income quits if you quit.
Doesn't stop thousands quitting every month
You guys are funny to listen to. Not all businesses are perfect. In fact, most known businesses that the common man have jobs with withhold information and education from its employees at an unbelievable rate and have done it for many years now keeping a leash on Server's, Stockers, Cook's, and other trades. But at least with Amway most of its Business Owner's are up front and real about what they do. They try to develop a real and open relationship with its Partners and encourage people to think for ones self rather then be mindless drowns like most of you using blogs like this to make excuses about why you aren't making any money and complain that the rich are taking your"Fair Share". They have a honest business model that benifits all involved unlike the scam Walmart gives on a daily basis about "Always Low Prices" and not telling you, "For crappy, cheap plastic, unhealthy and misinforming produces that cost us little and we pay our employees next to nothing. We appreciate you making us rich." And while Amway does have imperfect people involved in it's business it doesn't hide the truth of its actions or where its earnings on their or their IBO's side. And that money you say the upline gets that its downline doesn't, you definitely got that wrong. They are
No Drones, they teach you to not quit because most of them want you to make something of yourself's and not make excuses about why your not making money. Seriously, ya'll go on and on about how your not getting your"Fair Share" and that they just want you for your money. News flash, you quit they keep the money and like any other business(Walmart, Gyms, Restaurants) your replaceable. Most of the business owners in Amway are honest and develop partnerships(downlines) on a real relationship and make clear that your not getting careered to Platinum and I'm not helping you for nothing. You wanna make money, learn how to think for yourself and learn how to make money. We will show you how, rather then be a droid that works at Walmart and get paid cheap or be a dentist and get taxed the hell out of by a government you voted into power all because you wanna live in an entitlement society. You guys are a bunch of self-righteous excusitous babies.
Total bullshit. Amway business owner lie through their teeth. Try asking any Amway drone if they can prove they actually make money. They'll make excuses and say anything except show you proof of their success.
They teach you not to qut for one reason only. Once you quit, upline can't sell you Amway products and tools and functions. Other than that, they could care less about you.
"Excusitous"? What kind of English does this Doctor Fate speak?
Nobody here is a "drone," and nobody here is whining about their "fair share" or about how they want an "entitlement" society. That's just phony Amway-speak about the glories of our great free enterprise system, blah, blah, blah... Save it for your next WWDB rally, Doctor Fate. That's where the real drones congregate.
The critiques of Amway presented here and at dozens of other courageous blogs (blogs that Amway's thuggish lawyers can't shut down, by the way) are valid, backed up by evidence both statistical and anecdotal, and far too detailed and numerous to be dismissed. They prove that Amway is a rip-off for nearly ninety-nine percent of the IBOs who join it! You call that a business opportunity? Tell us what you're smoking, Doctor Fate. We'd like to get high too.
Great post. Doctor Fate has sipped too much Amway kool aid.
