What Is The Truth About Amway?

One of the things that irks me about some Amway leaders is their blatant revisionist history. They never take responsibility for anything except for the miniscule amounts of success that seeps through their system. Real problems and issues are ignored, or leaders pretend they never happened, or they simply rewrite history to fit their goals and agendas. And to make matters worse, these same leaders teach their downline to accept personal responsibility for their failures, even when downline faithfully purchase and apply teaching from tools such as voicemail, standing orders and functions.

One good example was the complete lie that nobody made profits from tools. Then when caught red handed, leaders now admit that they make profits from tools but nobody seems to know exactly how much, or how you actually qualify to receive compensation. And there was no backlash for having told such blatant lies.

Leaders in my former LOS, WWDB used to teach how so few IBO couples ever gets divorced. I heard that Amway couples had a 2% divorce rate as compared to the rest of the world where over 50% of couples get divorced. Yet, WWDB uses their own revisionst history. One good example is Howie Danzik, who WWDB says built his business as a single and later married Theresa Tsuruda. I guess I must have imagined the emerald function I attended where Howie and his wife at the time, Susan, said they built the business together. There are other examples of this, but what amazes me is how the downlines seem to ignore these facts.

Another recent example was how an IBO insisted that a prominent triple diamond in WWBD did not have homes foreclosed or was not involved in bankruptcy proceedings, even when there are numerous public documents providing ample evidence that it is true. It's mind boggling. If Tiger Woods were a diamond and denied that he had any affairs, I bet his downline would believe him as well. Scary.

I just have to wonder when IBOs, who dedicate themselves to various systems, will ever hold these leaders accountable for their actions. If you buy a television and it didn't work, you would ask for a refund. Well, if those standing orders and functions contain vital information and you apply them and they don't work, you should ask for a refund as well. People should also ask upline the tough questions. If someone gives you bad advice, they should be held accountable. If someone tells you buying a home with a mortgage is stupid because of the interest you will pay, then you find out they have "interest only loans", that makes them a hypocrite and their advice should be questioned.

Don't allow these well compensated leaders to simply rewrite history to ignore their mistakes and trangressions.

The cult aspects of Amway (influencing/isolating from family & friends, "us vs. them" mentality, so as I say/not as I do, accept upline's words as gospel truth, don't ask/don't tell the truth) make many people ignore the obvious.

Amway DOESN'T WORK, it's not a viable business, period!! All the saying so, all the sprouting Amway-speak, and all the lies don't make it so. You can't put a silk dress on a pig and call it a georgeous woman.

You can't that is if you are in your right mind.

IBHoe's are like a NBA Team that are at the bottom of there Division. They will Lie, Manipulate, Distract, Avoid, Ignore the truth!

Sadly they don't care how they win there Division as long as they win it no matter what it takes!!

This is just another reason I don't have patience, and get pist off real easy with IBO's because there defense is the same BS and they cant admit the truth!

A true Example of my past Upline sharing a short message of the Plan but yet Promoting his lame ass Business Opportunity!

AMWAY IS THE MOST AMAZING BUSINESS EVER. I AM SORRY THAT YOU PEOPLE ARE ALL LOSERS! THERE ARE TONS OF PEOPLE THAT LIVE AMAZING LIVES THANKS TO PUTTING FORTH EFFORT IN THE AMWAY BUSINESS. GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT BEFORE YOU SPEAK. THAT WAY YOU DONT SOUND SO DUMB!

What a joke. I am VERY familiar with Amway. They are exactly like Jehovah witnesses in the way they discount (to sound nice) friends and family if they don't "do as they do". I'm also VERY familiar with the JW "thinking" too. Scarey.

Oh yes, I forgot to mention. I "was" 4000pv plus, made no money. (Spent quite a bit going to rah rah meetings all over the country tho). And I "was" related to a now divorced double diamond, triple diamond....whatever he is. My Sister in law (the divorced woman) is no longer involved with the "business" and no longer appears on stage to get looked up to like some kind of God that the thousands attending should know better. I'm quite embarrassed that I even attended such things.

People are people no matter where you go. The fact that their is hypocrisy, divorce, and flaws in the program does not mean the program is bunk - that's just human nature. Amway is definitely not a cult and if you had a bad experience, I'm guessing it's just because your organization was not a solid true north leg of the business. I'm very sorry you had a bad experience. But that's no reason to publicly bash someone like Howie Danzik who is a man of integrity, honesty, and family values. Thousands of people are benefitting greatly from the work that he has done. Howie & Theresa Danzik are world changers who deserve the credit and recognition WWDB gives them! And if you think anything negative about WWDB, I have to say, it's not them, it's YOU. WWDB is the finest group of people I have ever had the privelege to be around. Please consider whether your opinion is worth ruining this man's reputation.

Amen brother. I was hoping someone would put a plug on the fountain of ignorance here. WWDB is by far one of the finest group of people around and Amway is an incredible business model that exemplifies the American dream.

WWDB is a bunch of lying crooks. Greg Duncan in bankruptcy and was always hyping Xcess energy drink at all the functions...never once having the integrity to acknowledge that he had a financial stake in the company. 2-5 year plan to financial independence..and yet during the 5 years I was in working my ass off...from the dawn of Quixtar...not a single person in WWDB became financially independent in that 5 year span...and neither did I. If their fraudulent system worked...wouldn't you think that there would have been someone who could succeed in 5 years? 2-5 years my ass.

Anonymous said...

you know greg Duncan made mistakes as we all do even his brother mentioned it in a video but it doesn't negate no matter what you do and plan to do what you put your mind to it will happen belief and focus on the goal. As for marriage it happens to many people but easier to build dreams if you believe. As for Jehovah witnesses unless you were one how would you know. They are good people and if you do good no matter what religion and give back you will get back in the richness of life instead of negative. Negative begets negative. Im here only to say "live for something or die for nothing" I have seen people in this business make great money to keep there wife home and work for freedom. Let the past be the past why rehash. Even his brother said that's my brother not me. He didn't agree with what he did either he also said that he has made millions. As far as Danzik great guy and a belief in something greater than we can even imagine. The truth is scare when you consider the alternative. Wish everyone the best of luck and never give up it your pursuit of happiness.

Howie Danzik claims his "marriage" to Susan was fake because building it single was more challenging I read in one of his stories and all the successful people were couples. Check out El Paso County, Colorado vital records - They don't record marriage/dissolution of marriage documents for people that were "not really" married. Check the facts, I lived there and knew them. We had the same upline direct (Dick McCreery) I was at his fake wife's retirement party. Just sayin'

Joecool said...

So Howie Danzik lied when he did the function in Hawaii with his wife Susan?

Anonymous said...

Yes he did. Susan was his sister. I knew Howie personally. Went to his house in Colorado Springs many times. Was at his house days after the announcement that Susan was having an affair and that was the reason for the "divorce". He was my upline diamond. I have never felt so betrayed in my life.

Joecool said...

Susan Danzik was his sister? That sounds like BS

scambot alert!

james henderson said...

My name is James Henderson I live in Castle Rock Colorado I was direct under Howie glad for his success but Amway is not a Scam but is not upfront in regards to how you really make big money in the business and become a diamond. I have nothing to hide and you can contact me on twitter @ositg you make money off the other people buying products for their house and getting other people to do the same then if you are a great speaker and motivator like Howie you become a part of the inner circle to sell tapes and rally tickets to people with that same hope it is like rats eating on each other and the strong rat wins.
Howie is a big strong RAT I not mad just wish I was a little smarter at 20 when I was sold the promise with my last 225.00 to buy the kit and left with no training on how to feed on the mice.
I finally made it to the 100k club years back but I did as a computer engineer and not feeding on other people.
I know people doing Quick Star / Amway but they know what they are doing and know they are looking for mice to feed on we are not friends anymore I do not roll like that.
CAN YOU MAKE MONEY IN Amway YES with the right training and feeding on other mice to become the big rat.
The trough that is house business is done but if in the end if you are not giving a good product what you are doing is wrong is away wrong yes a scam no because you can make money. I do not choose to make money like that. No my caps is not broken I have nothing to sell nothing to gain or lose just giving it to you straight from someone that knows a away double diamond from the old days

Joecool said...

Hi James, so Amway is not a scam but running the business the way Howie taught you is a pyramid scheme.

Anonymous said...

Howie Danzik has always said his ex- ex wife left him. Never claimed to be single while building it. She wasnt a huge supporter though. That has been what he said since the late 90s.

Joecool said...

BS, his WWDB website sure didn't say that. In fact some IBO's were told lies by the diamonds and denied that Howie was even divorced. I attended Howie and Susan Danzik's emerald function. Howie has not "always" said his wife left him. What's also at debate is why they divorced.

Wow. And truly amazing.
Who knew there were seriously that many ignorant (and not so smart) misinformed people, and especially here in this country...America...really?
Amway; American Way dumb dumbs.
Ah. We know you are someone really sad and broken sitting in a dark basement somewhere wasting all the beautiful and valuable time that the good Lord has given you to sit and bash and be bitter. Really, really oh so sad.
Ugh. You were created for a greater purpose, Amway/Worldwide Dreambuilders or not. (Although it is truly God given. Sorry you missed the boat)
Find your true God given purpose. And stop wasting away doing this silly computer Amway/Dreambuilders bashing....
Seriously. You were meant for more and better. Sad sad sad

Joecool said...

Yes, I think you are sad and ignorant. I'm not in a basement. I live in Hawaii near some of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

Please don't spout blasphemy that Amway was created by The Lord. The Lord wouldn't want people getting ripped off by WWDB.

How much have you made from Amway? $10?

Anonymous said...

Maybe Howie was married to his sister lol. Doesn't sound strange in the world of amway

Joecool said...

I doubt that Susan was his sister. But he claims Susan was the reason for the divorce. Maybe she couldn't handle scamming thousands of people to make their living??

Anonymous said...

Yes. The bane of any Ambot is to grow a conscience and actually care about the lives and finances your scam is causing others to go through just so you can make money off of them. The whole way any pyramid works (and, yes, it's a pyramid even if they have some technicality that allows them to not call it that) is to continually draw in new victims to siphon money from to keep feeding those at the very top. The vast majority of the pyramid loses money.

I love Howie and Theresa! And I love Amway! :) I earn back my renewal and some for only buying the products for myself. I'm 31 and have been my own business owner since 23. You can build it or not but no one makes you buy anything. If you signed up to own your own business there is nothing stupid about that. Don't spend money you don't have and you won't regret what you bought. I love the products and partner stores that I'm sure some of you shop at. Howie loves Theresa and doesn't need to bring up the past. Hope you all are able to move past your hurts. -Aleesha

Right, Revisionist history. Don't bring up the past. Just believe the lies.

A PONZI scheme, is what it's correctly referred to, is a) illegal, b) has NO product or service and there is ONLY cashflow, And c) when someone wants the money back that they invested, the entire thing falls apart.

It's not Amway that doesn't work or that Amway is a scam; Amway is just an online store that sells products that gives a normal person the opportunity to create their own store and become a distributor. If you contact Amway customer service, they know about WWG/WWDB and you can ask them exactly what you want and they'll tell you what you want to know.

WWG is just a training organization. Amway is the supplier. You create your own store, create a cashflow through your household by buying from your own store, and teach others to do the same thing.. That's not a Ponzi scheme.

Amway made 11.8 billion in the last year alone. They have partner companies such as Apple, Nike, starbucks, and the bank of America. It is safe to say other billion dollar companies would not partner with an illegal pyramid or a system that doesn't work. Amway has been given a bad name at one time in history but just like any buisness in the 70s that still exists today, it has improved and has become a better opportunity. I would rather trust the results of a millionaire then the opinion of an average person.

Joecool said...

Amway did not make 11.8 billion last year. Their sales tanked the last 2 years and they only did 9.5 billion last year. The partner stores is a strawman. Nike and starbucks allows Amway IBOs to sell their products but they don't sell Amway stuff. Some partnership. While you're discussing partners, you forgot to mention that Amway used to be partners with WorldCom and Enron, two giant scams.

You would rather trust the results of a millionaire? Which one? What if I'm a millionaire?

Anonymous said...

Another moron shows up to claim that Amway is "partnering" with big companies. What utter bullshit.

Some companies let Amway sell some of their products. Big deal! Do you think these major corporations really give a fuck about Amway?

Amway is just a minor outlet for them. As I have said before, just because Macy's lets you sweep up outside their front door doesn't mean that you are "partnering" with Macy's.
