Free Enterprise Day (FED) Is Coming!

http://www.rurdev.usda.gov/rbs/pub/cir451.pdf

"Free enterprise is an economic system that allows individuals the opportunity to make their own economic decisions, free of government constraints, and as private profit-potential businesses".

In Joecool's opinion, the Amway opportunity has nothing to do with free enterprise. In addition to some governmental conditions, the Amway corporation itself has many restrictive features, such as no advertising without Amway's permission and approval, etc.

As an IBO, I attended a function called Free Enterprise Day (FED). It was held in a convention center in San Diego. I remember being excited when attending, and participating in the hype. But looking back with an objective eye, I can honestly say that it did nothing to help build my business. Sure, we got some motivation out of it, but being from Hawaii, a mainland trip in October, plus rental cars and hotel costed me over $1,000. It simply is not worth the expense versus what my business got out of it. I would rather have enjoyed a vacation somewhere else.

Also, the Amway business as an IBO is not free enterprise. An IBO is a commissioned salesperson with no guaranteed salary and no fringe benefits. Hard work does not equal success as in other sales occupations. It is possible to work very hard to receive zero dollars. What's more, much of an IBO's business expenses are not for business but for training and motivation. An Amway IBO's duties are to sell goods and to sponsor downline. Basically that's it in a nutshell but IBOs have fooled themselves into thinking that they are real business owners with real expenses. If only more IBOs knew this, they could actually make a net profit (without tools) and they would be motivated by net monthly ptofits.

Sadly, upline leaders lure their downlines into thinking that IBOs are engaged in free enterprise when they are not. At best an IBO is a middleman distributor and at worst, a commissioned salesperson. That is not free enterprise. What is also sad is that I did some research about renting space or convention centers and these can be rented cheap or possibly free, if the convention will bring many tourists to town. Go check for yourself. If it is free enterprise, it is your upline's tools business that is free enterprise. Sadly, for IBOs, free enterprise day is not free.

If you OWN your own business, whatever that business may be, you NEVER have a guaranteed salary or fringe benefits! You have to work for those things yourself as a business owner and Amway NEVER promises guaranteed salaries! Anybody who starts their own business risks losing it all! In order to make it as a business owner you have to have good business sense! Spending over $1000 for a motivational conference, when you don't just have that kind of money to blow, is NOT good business sense! To be a successful business owner you have to know how to get good traffic to your store (or in this case your website) and you have to be able to sell your products. And to be a great business owner you have to be able to teach others to do the same thing and become good at marketing their store (or website). It is NOT about tricking your down-line. If they're not successful then you're not successful! It would be foolish for you to try and trick anybody! Amway is no get rich quick scheme. It takes some real work and dedication, just like ANY business you could start. But if you're SMART and are willing to put in the EFFORT you can become very successful in Amway with very little start-up cost. If you're NOT smart and you're NOT willing to put in the effort then you should NOT become a business owner! You're are just going to lose money! I know these things for a fact because I am an Amway business owner and I have been VERY successful relative to the amount of work I have put into my business so far.

Amway upline is a bunch of liars and all of the information is "spoon fed" to their downlines. Upline tells them lies "even if if makes their business grow?!" Most of the big money in Amway is made on the sale of "business support materials" that is operated by the high level pin distributors. (which you will never be) WAKE UP! and smell the coffee. You are being taken for a ride, BIG TIME. Get out before you lose your shirt.

It is as simple as below words: If u think you can, you can and if you think you can't , u r right. If you are get admission in a gud university but you flunk due to poor preparation or hardwork, you cannot blame university.

No AMWAY is not a joke, clearly you did not understand what kind of business this is and what is sad that same money you talked about is only a one time vacation. Its sad when ppl like yourself get involve our business and then want to trash it just cause you didn't do the work or your upline was a sleaze bag thats not the corp fault its ppl honey. Remember there is crappie ppl and there is really good ppl. So I would tell you, your so call JOB will only get u to finance your car or if you are lucky maybe a mortgage good luck but don't trash our business if you were not committed to yourself. Write a bio on yourself and how you are a failure not the business. This does work because its now a billion $$$$$$$ dept free business. Think about how you labor is being abuse for another man riches and not your own, now that you thought about that how does it make you feel. Sad I bet you should of stick with it because who ever you are working for is chilling while you are doing whatever it is you are doing. So happy days ahead for you great employee.

Amway is a joke. Amway does billions but you and many others are losing money, You are not Amway. Entry level employees make more than Amway IBO's.

The joke is people who've never been involved allowing others to think for them. I never made any money while in Amway, but I don't regret the books, tapes and functions that I spent thousands of dollars on. If nothing else, they helped me not to be like Anonymous above who thinks his opinion matters.

yikes. thousands of dollars that could go toward better causes? maybe...just MAYBE...the joke is you!

Obviously you had a negative experience in the biz but for some, they make money, lead to better lives, and guess what? You're still working and people live their lives happy. I suggest you just get over your little man syndrome and accept that fact that you didn't have the will power to push your limits in this biz.

Amanda, what is your annual gross income? After expenses?

Too bad Scamway doesn't teach their people how to communicate effectively. Your writing skills are atrocious. And before you start fighting back with "this isn't English class," being successful as a salesperson requires you to speak and write properly, especially when speaking on behalf of your "company" or "employer".

So you complain to her that her grammar is off? Hey buddy too isn't used in that context and you didn't indent your paragraph.

Have you ever own your own business or franchise? If you did, you would know it takes thousands of dollars to start up. Overhead costs always grow and never go down as well. For any venture, it is not profitable for the first few years. Even real estate is a debt intensive way of hoping to make a profit, and some people do, and some don't at all. It's a risk either way. Any venture is a risk. Amway is a non traditional business and it takes hard work, time and effort and not everyone is profitable right away. Anything worth it, takes time to be profitable, plus Amway allows parents to raise their own children at home, instead of bargaining them off to the lowest child care provider. The point is, Martin Luther king didn't have to be white to have white people listen, terry fox didn't have to have two legs to travel across canada and your parents didn't have to know exactly what they were doing to raise you, but they did. Hopefully they did. We just have to be thankful that we live Ina. Country that gives us the opportunity to make money and be successful how we want. Just be happy for other people when they are successful. Maybe you like answering to a boss? Maybe you like having a salary, that you have to earn over over every year? Maybe you enjoy getting up at 6 am to run your own small business or chasing a different dream of yours? Amway opens a door for different training systems to allow people to get out of debt, get free and live their true life

That's bogus. You should be able to profit right away in Amway because of the low or non existent overhead. Instead, many IBOs get squeezed out of their money one function or one cd or book at a time.

Amway really works. We have started earning now. But, initially you need to learn the business and put a good foundation. And, then on its like any fruit tree. You need to gather the ripened fruits. If you are not in the system then you cannot put up a good business. It's not Amway's fault if you are not succeeding. It's you who could change the things by changing yourself. And moreover job will not give you the enjoyment, excitement and money as this business does.

Par for the course...vague anecdotal statement that doesn't prove Amway works from a monetarily biased automaton.

Anonymous said, "But, initially you need to learn the business and put a good foundation."

Translation: You are going to take losses and there is no defined time frame in which the losses will start...good foundation, how ridiculous.

Anonymous said, "You need to gather the ripened fruits."

Translation: You need to find rubes to sucker into the business and generate a downline.

Anonymous said, "If you are not in the system then you cannot put up a good business."

Translation: If you do not join the cult then you will fail. There are no exceptions, you must conform.

Anonymous said, "It's not Amway's fault if you are not succeeding. It's you who could change the things by changing yourself."

Translation: Anything that is negative is your fault, and you can't complain or try to change anything within your group or the company. Either you conform and win or you fail.

Anonymous said, "And moreover job will not give you the enjoyment, excitement and money as this business does."

The cult will be your life. You will make money, friends, and lovers. The cult will supply you with everything you need, and there will be no reason to be involved in anything other than the cult.
