Amway - Costco Bests Amway In Many Ways!

In my informed opinion, Costco is a much better bargain than Amway. Since I was an IBO and a Costco member, I have seen noticeable differences. The main one being that when I leave Costco, if I spend $200, I leave with a cartload of stuff, as compared to an armful of goods that I got through Amway for the same price. I wrote a post about price comparisons between Costco and Amway recently. Costco came out ahead in nearly all price comparisons. That is not to say you cannot get any good products from Amway, but overall, I believe Costco to be the better bargain.

I live about 10 miles from my nearest Costo but driving there takes me along the coast of the island (I am from Hawaii) and it's a nice drive. When I arrive, I can fill my gas tank and using an Amercian Express card, I can get a 4% rebate on my gas purchase. I can also stop for lunch and get a foot long hot dog and a bottomless soda for $1.50, a deal that is hard to top. Additionally, there are great deals there. For example, a case of water, 35 bottles is $5.99. (How much for a case of perfect water?) I can also purchase a whole slow roasted chicken for $5.99, or a full rack of BBQ ribs for $9.99 or a whole 20" pizza for $9.99.

While Amway's laundry detergent and cosmetics might be somewhat competitive to other retailers and Costco, the overall array of products can be found cheaper at Costco and other big retailers. Additionally, I get up to a 2% rebate when I make my purchase with American express. No other strings attached!

But the biggest reason I like Costco? Nobody has ever tricked me into a Costco meeting which will try to sell me a Costco outlet! There is no Costco upline. Nobody has ever called me a broke loser because I didn't join Costco. Nobody tries to question my character if I decide not to shop at Costco. There are no Costco employees calling me names because I choose to shop elsewhere. There are no cds teaching me how to shop at Costco, nor do I have to attend any seminars to learn how to shop at Costco. I simply shop and save.

Some Amway defenders have tried to make price comparisons between Costco and Amway.
If you compare Costco online to Amway, the prices are closer, with Costco prevailing, but Costco prices are much cheaper if you are there in person and you can really add to your savings using a cash back credit card. I challenge prospects and current IBOs to walk down the aisles at Costco and compare prices.

But if I recommed 31 people to shop for $200 dollars worth of thier monthly household needs from this store do I get my $200 worth of household goods for my household for free?

No, but in Amway that scenario is true. However more expensive you may THINK Amway is the power of networking the concept ends up undesputiblely the victor in the savings catagory.

you compare price vs price but no matter what I do costco will never get cheaper for me whereas Amway's products due to the concept becomes free.

If you recommends 31 people to buy $200 worth of goods from Amway, you'd be lucky to get one person to do it.

Also, you get much more from Costco for $200 than you would from Amway.

hey joe cool if you ran a 4000 pv biz and didn't make money , you weren't running your biz properly

You are really lucky if you can get 4000 pv.
I think Costco is BETTER...

I bet the owner of Costco was just lucky...

Enjoy your $45,000/yr

The owner of Costco is/was a neighbour of Dave Duncan Sr. I wonder what their backyard conversations are like?

I don't get why people have to bad mouth amway. From what it sounds like someone had a bad experience. Sorry about that. I am part of BWW and there are some group in BWW who do thing much different than me. I am like I would not do that. You mentioned inviting people to see the business and not telling them what they are going to see. Who does that anymore? And I have done comparison to Costco and Amway is cheaper or better quality. The guys is comparing perfect water to some crappy bottled water. That is apples to oranges. By the way are you a liberal?

5.99 for 35 bottled waters wow that's interesting! I mean who wouldn't want to pay for tap water, there is nothing close to Perfect water, compared to Fiji at retail price it is not only cheaper but superior! Nutrilite is 15 times what GNC is on a global level, I'm sure you wouldn't know nutrional supplements like that and all buying footlongs and large pizzas? Question, why would I want to buy my frosted mini wheats from Costco when there 2% back caps off at $500 bucks? Which means u would have to spend $25,000 just to get back 500...? Alot of sense there if u ask me.

Fuji, perfect water and ice mountain are all the same in the end.

Water is water. All companies steal water from a river or have a water collecting basin that gathers acid rain for you to drink. You are paying for the bottle, the label and the ink on it.

Anyone who pays too much for water is a fool and nothing more.

Its funny how you Amway PR reps believe in Amway just like Apple zealots believe in Steve Jobs.

P.S. Amway is just a pyramid scheme at heart and anyone who calls themselves an individual business owner is just a schmuck. You are just an employee of the system.

Wow! what a name! "~perfect water~". Created for those special people that lack common sense and too much money in their pocket.

Nutrilite perfect health pack? Great...Another joke.
375% vitamin B12 per serving
417% vitamin C per serving
blah blah ...
and then it says you have to take them a second time the same day....

Sure the numbers are impressive but too bad your body will throw away what it cannot consume in time. You pay so much for an amount you wont even be able to use.

Its a great idea for the manufacturer to impress with high numbers and have you consume more pills than you need to make you quickly buy another pack if you are gullible.

The man at the top of the pyramid is a genius.

There is nothing like the price of freedom. And for those of you who truly believe that Amway is a pyramid scheme are very uneducated. Don't take this the wrong way, but look at your job... Are you ever going to make as much money as the person who owns your company? No. And in your job is anyone really willing to help you succeed? No. In Amway you can make as much money if not more than the person who sponsored you, and they are willing to help you succeed in all areas of your life. It is the system. So please, do your research in the right places before ignorance come spewing out of your mouth.

And honestly it doesn't even matter what the products are, it matters what the system does. If you honestly believe that working for a W2 for the rest of your life is satisfying, or living under the wrath of money for forever, more power to you.

But be educated, please.

What is the price of freedom? Who said that Amway provides freedom? Making more than your sponsor means diddly, especially since many people who sign up to do nothing. Will you ever make more than your upline diamond? No.

At least in a job, you are guaranteed an income. In Amway, you aren't assured of anything.

Please understand what you are speaking about before you make comments. Get your facts then speak rather than making random ignorant comments. Really? water is water and we drink 'acid rain'? It is all about how the water is processed AFTER it has been collected that makes the difference.

I see you.... I could not say it better.

lol... about how many atoms of qxigen vs hydrogen you can find in the perfect water?! Just thinking.

Soooo interesting... I thought water is water...why buy it? Thirsty? Get in the first restaurant, ask, and you can get for free a glass of ice cold water on the rocks... fancy stuff.... Anyone can offer someone a glass of water for free...

Pyramids ultimately have to do with placement. Those at top make the money, and no one can get above them as you are "under" them. Amway, anyway can blow away those above them if they work it consistently and long enough. ANd most jobs have owners at the top then managers level upon level with no chance of moving up. At Bank of America, there are about 25 levels to Brian Moynihan, from the bottom to him. 25 levels of management and maybe one person of 1000 gets to the next level. If you don't get in the level so much for moving up if you got in lower or at the bottom. Amway is a manufacturer and the lines of sponsors can run them differently than other lines do. It is your business and ultimately up to you. Those who shop at Costco are going to spend 20% more than they plan every week, and no ownership, no vesting, no real savings, buying stuff you don't need sometimes. Anyhow, Amway, no money made on registering like many companies out there, and if you want to be successful do what the successful people do. Work! 1% of 100 really work, 99 show up at a meeting and think they are working, or listen to a tape. That is not working to me. Go out and be consistent for a year. Not easy, not for the faint of heart and not for everyone. Treat it like a business and it will grow.

Only the owners of Amway make any real money.
In west Michigan if you ask a friend to join Amway, you will have one less friend.
Amway is a lie. It has always been a lie.

Every city will balance the Ph of the water. (Your acid rain comment is nonsense)
By the way Rich and Jay have fought the regulations that control acid rain.
Your perfect water is a lie. As is the rest of Amway.

There is a big difference between a corporate hierarchy and the Amway pyramid. In the corporate world, even the lowest guy (i.e. the janitor) earns a paycheck and has money at the end of the month.

In Amway, the diamonds make the money and the lower tiered IBOs have losses.
